EDU365 for Administration

SIMS will save hours of administration time for your staff as many repetitive tasks are automated. Pupil or school data will only need to be entered or amended once for all records to be updated in the system. All documentation relevant to a child, including letters to parents, individual education plans and school reports can be attached electronically to the pupil’s record.

Documents are then held in one place, helping reduce the school’s filing and record-keeping burden and promoting a paperless working environment.

Organise curriculum and timetables effortlessly

The task of planning and designing timetables can be complicated but the task is made far easier using SIMS. You can use automatic routines to schedule subjects and classes, allocate teachers to each class and personal timetables can be oriented for each of your pupils in minutes. SIMS enables you to analyse the impact a timetable option will have on staffing and displays the pro-rata cost per pupil to ensure you are making the best use of school resources. In the event of absences, SIMS can immediately identify available staff to cover the period.

Manage Exam Entrance

Candidates can be entered for examinations directly with UK examination boards using SIMS. This information can be analysed with ease and exams officers can use SIMS to check that no pupils have been entered for exams that clash. Entries can be sent to the exam boards electronically and results can be imported, reducing the administrative burden. A seating organiser is available to assist with room planning, the printing of candidate labels and exam timetables.

Admissions Process

SIMS can manage the entire process by tracking each applicant through every stage from initial enquiry to final admission. Every step of the process can be recorded including interviews, visits, entrance exams, and all correspondence with parents. By comparing any new applications for school places with the appropriate admissions criteria, you are able to manage the allocation of school places efficiently. Using a Common Transfer File (CTF), a pupil’s historical record can easily be transferred from any enabled school database system, reducing the amount of manual data entry required.
